Diga Diga Doo Bangkok

Warp back to the 1930s at a swing dance party and concert this Saturday at Shanghai Mansion in Bangkok’s Chinatown. After last year’s roaring success, this year, “Diga Diga Doo: A Vintage Night Out” will feature no less than six hours of swing dance interval, while stars of the jazz and dance scene will also be performing. Sarah Reich, a tap dancer with more than 10 million YouTube views under her belt, will be performing a modern combination of tap dance and funky street dancing. A spectacular show is also on the cards thanks to Sharon Davis, a World Burlesque Games 2013 champion. Live music will be courtesy of popular swing jazz musician and singer Gordon Webster, while tap dancing stars, Hetty Kate and Juan Villafan, will be showing their jazz era steps such as the Charleston and Lindy Hop. Other highlights of this swinging event include a vintage barber and salon both guys and dolls can visit to get the look. There will also be a free swing dance class for those with no dancing background before the event starts at 8pm.
